Since becoming interested in Christian Science nearly five years ago, I have received many blessings; for which I am truly grateful. The first healing was very wonderful to me, as I had been doctoring for bronchial trouble ever since childhood and always had a cough. After I had been reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy for about two years, the cough disappeared, and has never returned. While attending a Christian Science lecture in California recently, I was instantaneously healed of a cold and inflammation in the left eye, which had bothered me over a week. When I left the hall after the lecture, I was free from pain. I have been almost immediately healed of a severely sprained ankle; while at one time, before taking up the study of Christian Science, I lay in a hospital with my leg in a plaster cast for one week. How grateful I am that I can in some degree demonstrate the nothingness of matter, and know there is no power in anything but God, good.

I am also grateful for a beautiful healing through the help of a loving practitioner. After having a tooth extracted I suffered from what seemed to be paralysis of the throat. For two days I could not move my jaws, and by the third day the infection had closed my throat entirely, so that I could not talk or swallow. To material sense I suffered intense pain for eight days. Then I awoke one morning to see that mortal mind could not overpower me any longer; and in a short time I was back at my work in the office. I have had many minor healings; and also proof that blood has nothing to do with Life, God.

For the privileges of class instruction and membership in The Mother Church, and for the loving help of teacher, practitioner, and friends I am more grateful than I can express. Every day I have an opportunity to use what I know of Christian Science; and I am grateful to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for helping us to find the most valuable thing in the world,—the understanding and application of Truth and Love.—(Miss) Frances Goodwin, Daytona, Fla.
