Christian Science was first brought to my attention as a means for physical healing about eight years ago. Our boy, who was then two years old, manifested a very serious illness for which the medical profession could give no remedy. As he grew continually worse, we became very fearful and began to despair of the outcome. At this time a lady, who was almost a total stranger, very lovingly recommended Christian Science, mentioning the name of a and a letter was written asking for treatment. I did not have any faith in Christian Science treatment, however, until the child refused to which we tried to administer, and an improvement began to be manifested. The child continued to improve, and was soon string and again.

Although I knew this healing to be the result of Christian Science treatment, I took no more interest in Science until nearly a year later, when my own need impelled me to ask for treatment for myself. The ailment from which I suffered is still a matter of conjecture, as far as medical science and physical analyses by three specialists, it was pronounced by one appendicities, by another intestinal another ulcer of the stomach. I suffered a great deal both day and night, and lost considerable from my work. It was then that I applied for Christian Science treatment and immediate relief. My improvement was very rapid. I then began to study the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, in connection with the Bible; and not long afterwards the light of understanding began to dawn on my consciousness, and I knew that I had found the "Pearl of great price." Like many others, at this stage of awakening I was very happy and could not understand why so were still ignoring this great truth which makes men free. Since then I have had many power of Truth over error in physical, financial, and business it is through them that we keep striving for a fuller knowledge of God.
