Having read an article in the Sentinel which dealt with...
Having read an article in the Sentinel which dealt with Christian Science and children, I feel that I can verify the statement of the writer, who said that little ones ask for Science help as naturally as they ask for food. We have four children, and they each and all know what the truth will do. I have seen attacks of croup, fever, bowel disorder, toothache, etc., all disappear under the rule of divine Science, and I am glad to say that these ills are really overcome. During the last year there was a marked improvement in our little family of children. One of them had two days of discomfort, but apart from this they have been free. A while ago a young doctor came to my door with a medical book which he wished to sell. My family were all about me, and as he saw the children he doubtless expected I would be glad of such a book, as we were in the country and removed from any physician. I told him I did not need the book, and while he seemed a little disappointed, he remarked, as he turned to go, "Well, you surely have a very healthy family; they look now as if they did not need any medicine."
I am indeed thankful for Christian Science, which has done so much for us all; and for the comfort of any mother who is in doubt, hesitating between Christian Science and material medicine, I would say that Truth can do the work and we can safely trust it. I have had many struggles with fear, but "perfect love" has cast it out and the truth has made us free. I am thankful to all who have helped me to see the truth, especially to Mrs. Eddy, and I rejoice in knowing the truth itself.
Mrs. H. F. Parr, Hood River, Ore.
