AMONG THE CHURCHES

CURRENT NOTES.

DAYTON, OHIO .—Two of our Dayton papers, the Journal and the Herald, made kindly references to the Christian Science tent at Montgomery county's big fair. This is the second time we have had a tent of this kind at the county fair grounds. No charge was made by the officials for space. Not only was the tent more attractive this year, but the committee in charge reported that it was visited by a greater number of people and that more literature was distributed. As near as a record could be kept, over six hundred people visited the tent to rest, read, and write. At least five hundred and fifty copies of the Sentinel, as many Monitors, a few Journals, etc., were distributed, and more people sat down to read the literature than last year. One lady, asked for treatment, and another came in to say that as a result of visiting the tent last year she had become interested and had purchased the text-book.—Correspondence.

MONTGOMERY, ALA.—Plans are being made for the maintenance of a Christian Science booth at the annual exposition of Montgomery, Ala., which opens Oct. 22. There will be a rest-room open to all, and tables for the distribution of literature. Prominence will be given to The Christian Science Monitor, and all the periodicals and pamphlets of the Publishing Society will be on hand for distribution and for reading.—Correspondence.

MILWAUKEE, WIS.—Christian Scientists in the state were provided at the state fair with rest and reading accommodations in a tent near the executive building maintained by the four Milwaukee churches.—Milwaukee-Wisconsin.
