I have many reasons to be deeply grateful for Christian Science

I have many reasons to be deeply grateful for Christian Science. It gives an inspired meaning to the Scriptures, which leads one to the Bible in time of need. The physical help which I first received was for a chronic bowel disorder and a general affection of the digestive system. For four years I had been on a rigid diet, by the advice of physicians.

At this time I became interested in Christian Science and called a practitioner, and after the first treatment I ate anything that was served, and I am very glad to say that all this trouble was entirely overcome. For this and many other physical blessings which I have received I am deeply thankful, but above all for the spiritual enlightenment which Christian Science gives. This is more to me than all else, and my heart overflows with love to our beloved Leader, who so willingly sacrificed earthly pleasures and secluded herself from society in order to lead the way to that spiritual understanding which illumines the pages of the Bible, making it dearer to the heart of every one who has studied her inspired works.
