Until 1904 I was afflicted with all kinds of disease, though I made every effort to gain health. Neither a physician, nor drugs, nor a sanitarium for pulmonary diseases had helped me, and I gave myself up to my fate. My father was told about Christian Science, but I did not then attach any importance to it. I was, however, urged to try this treatment, and when I did so it was like a stream of blessing coming over me, and I felt that God's hand was working here. I received some absent treatment, and after five present treatments I was completely restored in six weeks' time. I felt like one new-born, and was enabled to help others right along. I treated my sister successfully, when she was threatened with death. My mother was also treated successfully for an apoplectic attack. After I was married I seemed to be hindered by my wife's loving care, and the fear with which she surrounded me, till she herself experienced a wonderfully quick healing. After this she assisted me in thinking rightly, so that I have since been permanently well.

I am thankful to God, and also to Mrs. Eddy, who has discovered again the true source of healing,—the power of Truth.
