Our eight-year-old boy fell at school and injured his arm near the wrist. He was brought home by the school sevant, suffering great pain and unable to move the hand. I explained to the boy the truth about God's all-embracing love and the healing work of Jesus which has been revived again, and I experienced the joy of having all fear removed immediately from the boy, my wife, and myself. Shortly before, I had translated from Science and Health paragraph on page 373 ending with the quotation, "Perfect Love casteth out fear," and this was constantly in my memory.

The arm was then examined by a physician, and set without the use of chloroform. We were glad to see how well it all went. We were told that the pain might return and some fever set in, but we felt as if the healing had already been done. I read to the boy how Jesus healed the sick, until he said he would like to rest. The pain had evidently disappeared; his appetite and sleep were quite normal and he did not have fever. The next day he himself opened the door for the physician. The latter was so astonished at his liveliness that for a while he was in doubt whether it could have been a fracture, but on the same day a photograph by X-rays was made, which showed plainly the place where the bone had knitted together. In three weeks' time the last bandage had been removed and the arm was completely healed.

I thank God with all my heart for His help, and that the healing works of Christ Jesus are again being made ours through the discovery and application of Christian Science.
