Christian Science has been instrumental in leading many people out of infidelity into the light of God and to the acceptance of the religion of Jesus Christ; Christian Science is making Bible students out of its followers, awakening within them a love for God's Word; it is leading them to a fuller acceptance of the religion of Jesus Christ, even to the extent that many are being healed in Christ's name today; it is reforming the sinner. Despite all that its enemies and critics may say, Christian Scientists are going to do all the good possible,—healing the sick, comforting the sorrowing, and leading mankind to God, thus helping to make the world better.

The fact that the enemies of Jesus said he did his works through Beelzebub the prince of the devils, did not make it so. Critics sometimes make the same accusation against Christian Science, but this does not make it so. Jesus left a rule by which to judge: he said, "By their fruits ye shall know them." What are the fruits of Christian Science when its teachings are understood and its precepts lived? Even these: more faith in God, a greater love for the Bible, and a greater desire to follow in the footsteps of Jesus the Christ. Such being the fruits, Christian Science cannot proceed from an evil source.
