It is with a deep sense of gratitude for the revelation of the truth that makes free, and in the hope my testimony may encourage others, that I give my experience in Christian Science. A few years ago, while carrying a large cat, he became frightened and dug his claws into my forehead, making several deep scratches, so that the bone above my eye was involved. Fear of possible results seized me, and I immediately asked for Christian Science treatment. In a few minutes the pain ceased and apparently all sense of fear left me; but soon my forehead and face commenced to swell, and I realized that fear was still lurking in my consciousness. The next morning my whole system seemed to be affected, and soon after dressing, we found conditions which appeared very serious. Then, while fear and pain seemed to be so great, this question presented itself to us: Have we the understanding to meet the present need? But soon this thought came to me: God is present everywhere, and we have sufficient understanding of His law and how to apply it to destroy this error. I asked my friend to continue the treatment, and in a few minutes I knew that the victory was ours. In a very short time I felt well, and soon every manifestation of the injuries was gone—not even a scar was left.

This is only one of the many times that I have been greatly benefited by the application of the truth that has been revealed to us by Mrs. Eddy, but the physical ills from which I have been healed are as nothing beside the mental agony I was in at the time I commenced the study of Christian Science, and nothing can compare with the spiritual understanding and uplift which I have received through this study. The Bible, which I had studied faithfully for many years, has become a new and doubly precious book to me through the light which "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" has thrown upon it.

I am trying to show my gratitude to God, and to our dear Leader, for this truth, through which divine Love has reached my consciousness, by daily learning and living the truth.—Mrs. Minnie T. Jaquith, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
