THE LIGHT OF TRUTH

Count not the years, eternity
Is ours, age hath no pow'r to mar:
Our God is Life and Love and Truth;
There is no age, there is no youth;
No limitation on man placed,
God's attributes in him are traced.
The glorious Principle of all
Is Love divine, our God, all good:
And man in His own image made,—
His thought divine, who ne'er has strayed,
But still continues perfect man,
According to the Father's plan.
In God, we live and move and breathe;
And till this glorious truth we know,
The seeds of sin and death we sow:
We forge the chains that hold us down,
We bear the cross, but miss the crown.
In God, one Father and one Mind,
The brotherhood of man we find.
The Mind our Master well confessed,
In acts and deeds is still expressed.
We grow in grace, we grow in pow'r
For He is with us every hour.
