It is with a heart full of gratitude that I tell what Christian Science has been to me for years. Owing to my vocation. I am obliged to stand on my feet almost constantly, and my thoughts must be turned to many different sorts of things. The Wednesday evening meeting is the only hour when I can gather peace and strength, but I formerly believed I could not find the time even for this single hour. I am now, however, a regular and eager listener to the wonderful teachings of Christian Science. Before I knew anything about this truth I was very ill. My nerves were in a serious condition, and my strength had failed after twenty-two years of work, and the physician predicted alarming results.
At that time a noble-hearted lady presented to me the subject of Christian Science. After this the attacks of pain were less and less frequent, and with joy I became aware that I was feeling better that winter than I ever had before. I had no fear something evil would happen to me, but was always cheerful, even when I seemingly had reason to be troubled. This makes it easier for those around me, who express admiration for my indefatigable delight in working, and I am often asked as to the cause. I then try to explain the blessings which I have received through Christian Science, and I experience much joy when after some time I see how trust in God, health, and happiness come to others also.
For these blessings I cannot thank God enough, and also those who have taught me to understand the truth.
