My own experience within the past year has proven conclusively...
My own experience within the past year has proven conclusively to me the truth of Christian Science. I have been greatly benefited spiritually and morally, and I have also experienced the physical healing. During the summer of 1908 I was confined to the house for more than two months with a very stubborn case of illness. Medicine gave me little or no relief from suffering. At last I began to realize that my condition was such that, unless I received help from some source, my days were numbered. Then, as many others have done before, I turned to Christian Science for relief. I got it, and that quickly! I took my first treatment on Saturday, Sept. 5, and imporvement began at once. The following day I was much better, and on Monday I found that my strength had returned. I went to my place of business, did a good day's work on that day, and have done so every day since.
I do not mean to leave the impression that within a few days I was restored to the same physical state as before my sickness, but I do affirm that within twenty-four hours all the painful and disagreeable effects of the disease had disappeared, one of which was a severe stomach affection. I had been living on very light diet, most of the time had no appetite, and any solid food caused great distress, but within twenty-four hours of my first treatment I began, with a good appetite, to eat anything that was set before me, and without any disagreeable consequences whatever. Improvement has been steady, and today I am fully restored to my usual good health.
