LETTERS TO OUR LEADER

Kansas City, Mo., June 13, 1908.

Mrs. Mary Baker G. Eddy, Brookline, Mass.

Dear Leader:—Realizing the real value of each moment devoted to the study of truth, I hesitate to intrude on your valuable time, knowing your efforts are for all mankind in that you are unfolding to all the divine plan of universal peace, foretold by prophets and seers of old. To be found worthy to deliver such a message is evidence that you are reaching that at-one-ment wherein the prophets stood when they saw with spiritual eyes and heard with spiritual ears, the very things we are seeing fulfilled to-day in the reestablishment of Christ's Church among men. By your usage of the word "real" you are turning mankind from the mortal sense of things, from the things material and perishable, to that higher sense of things, the spiritual and eternal, wherein the "new heaven" and the "new earth" appear.
