In speaking this word for Christian Science my heart...
In speaking this word for Christian Science my heart is full of love and gratitude for what this wonderful truth has done for me. When I first heard of it I was loaded down with all or nearly all of the diseases known to materia medica. I had been treated by the best doctors that I could find, but all to no purpose, each one giving up the case as hopeless and advising a change of climate and food; with the intimation that if this did not help me there was nothing more that could be done. This was the condition in which I seemed to be when I began to take treatment in Christian Science. Now, instead of being a sickly old man, I am a big, robust fellow,—a picture of good health,—and I owe it all to Christian Science. I am grateful to the kind friend who gave me treatment and was so patient and good to me; also to Mrs. Eddy, whose devotion and sacrifices have done so much for mankind.
The Bible says that they who are forgiven much should love much, and I think I am under greater obligations to do this than almost any one, for I surely owe my very life to the Science of Christianity, which our beloved Leader has placed before mankind in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" in such form that all who are looking for the light can find it by reading this book and following its teachings. I desire to do all I can for the Cause of Christian Science, and by living and reflecting the truth I hope to be the means of bringing others to know God. God.
