Christian Scientists have such faith and confidence in the promises of Christ Jesus that they prefer to rely upon them rather than material remedies; they prefer to trust God and the promises of the Master (Christ Jesus) rather than plasters, powders, liniments, and pills, although Christian Scientists have not one unkind word to say about those who still believe in using material remedies; neither have Christian Scientists one unkind word to say about any other denomination, for we recognize all men as our brethren, God as our Father, and Christ Jesus as the Wayshower to eternal life. When the critics of Christian Science have the same confidence in "the simple faith of the gospel of Jesus Christ" that Christian Scientists have, they will no longer condemn their brethren of the Christian Science denomination.

It is a most pleasing fact to know that not all ministers of the gospel speak unkindly of Christian Science. We could mention the names of a number of eminent ministers who speak of Christian Scientists as Christians, and while they may not fully agree on all points of doctrine, yet they recognize the Christian Science denomination as a Christian denomination.
