It is just a year since I came into Christian Science, and words cannot express how grateful I am for this blessed truth which has been such a help and comfort to me, and has restored me to almost perfect health. From quite a child I was very delicate and suffered with weak lungs. I did not know what it was to feel well, and almost every winter I was laid up with bronchial and lung trouble, the doctors giving me only a few years to live. The first time I had Science treatment I was staying with a married sister, and her husband, who is a Christian Scientist, said he would like me to have treatment, as I was suffering from a severe attack of illness at the time. I thought of having a doctor, but I knew they had done all they could for me, so I decided to have treatment, and in less than three days I was down-stairs. The night before receiving Christian Science treatment I was suffering greatly and had to be propped up in bed. It scarcely seemed possible to me that I could be healed so quickly, as at other times I had been confined to my bed for months.

I have also been healed of very severe headaches, which I had given up all hope of ever being free from again, but I am most thankful to say they have almost disappeared. I had suffered from chronic catarrhal trouble, but this was met and destroyed in a few weeks' treatment. As I contrast my present state of happiness, health, and peace of mind with my condition before accepting Christian Science, my heart is indeed full of love to God and gratitude to our beloved Leader that she has proved herself worthy to bear aloft the lamp of Truth which will eventually lighten the whole world.
