I suffered from severe rheumatic trouble and varicose veins from 1865 until 1896. I was treated by a number of doctors, and would get relief from the first mentioned disease for a short time, but it would come back. For the other trouble they all said there was no help. I wore an elastic stocking for a number of years, and was told that I would always have to use it. The leg that was affected caused me great suffering almost every night. I was treated by a Christian Scientist in 1896, and was entirely healed in two months. I have not since had the rheumatic trouble nor any cramps. I have not worn the elastic stocking since then, and my leg is just as smooth and free from the abnormal condition of the veins as the inside of my hand. Neither my wife nor I have taken any drugs for the last ten years. Another thing for which I am even more thankful is this: I was strongly addicted to the use of liquor, so much so that the greater part of my earnings went to satisfy that appetite. I was also an inveterate user of tobacco, but thanks to Christian Science I now have no desire for either.—V. J. Hull, Lexington, Neb.
