We as Christian Scientists have received many great...
We as Christian Scientists have received many great blessings in this truth—and have never told the half. I wish to tell of a demonstration which was made in Science when we first went to Los Angeles. On entering the schools, one of the rules demanded that all children should be vaccinated. We complied with the rules, and our two girls were vaccinated. They seemed at first to get along nicely, but after awhile blood-poisoning set in. To the senses it seemed very alarming, but it was met perfectly with Science treatment; and I am very thankful for the healing. I was also healed, by reading Science and Health, of a painful stomach trouble, and of a female disease that the physicians said would compel me to have an operation performed in order to get relief. Instead of going to a hospital, I began to investigate Christian Science. In Mrs. Eddy's book I found the truth I so much needed; and it was so good to read it. While the physical healing was grand, the spiritual uplifting and the teaching that showed me how to live a better life, led my thought heavenward. I thank God for all these blessings. Now it is a pleasure to read the Bible. Our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who is such a noble guide to follow, is ever keeping the high goal before her.—Mrs. Lilley B. Yockey, Chanute, Kan.
