In December, 1906, I had a severe attack of illness and sent for a Christian Science practitioner, but it was not until the afternoon of the next day that I realized much change. At this time I was able to lie down, having remained most of the previous thirty-six hours in a sitting posture, and unable to move without great suffering. The following day I was up and about the house, and on Sunday attended the services at the church. Appendicitis had been healed in Christian Science. Truth had gained another victory. The gratitude I feel to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, can only be expressed by what I am able to do for others. It is nearly eleven years since I first became interested in Christian Science, and in that time it has been my sole reliance for myself and children. We have never used medicine or any material remedy in that time. For all these benefits I am most grateful.—Virginia Allphin, Denver, Col.
