On the 28th day of February, 1907, I came here from my home in the South. I brought with me a sick body, having quite recently been in a hospital for an abdominal operation, and previously for an eruptive affection of the lower extremities, on which occasion my limbs were packed in ice for seventeen days, with the result that they were left in a dreadful condition, and one knee-joint was displaced. After coming here I took up the study of Christian Science, and found it a beautiful religion and a demonstrable truth, both physically and spiritually. In a few months I was perfectly healed of all the conditions I have mentioned, as well as others. One day in the month of March I felt very ill with what seemed to be a serious throat trouble. I realized the truth as best I could, but said nothing to any one and kept about my duties. The next morning I felt unable to rise from my bed. The lady of the house then came to my room, and at once began to treat me: The high fever was overcome within an hour and the other conditions were met in a few days.
I was also healed of a very severe attack of cold during a testimonial meeting in the winter. I can say with the psalmist, "The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places." I am deeply grateful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy for this healing truth.—Lizzie Ward, Brooklyn, N. Y.
