I was troubled for over two years with my throat, and had a constant cough and hoarseness. I was treated by a physician who said that a very serious condition of the throat existed, and he undertook to burn it out. In the spring of 1904 I seemed to grow worse. I could not speak above a whisper and sometimes not at all. My brother became alarmed and told me of a lady who had lost her voice and finally died. He called on a doctor, and after explaining my condition, asked him what he could do for me. This doctor said that it was consumption of the throat and that he could not do anything for me, as it had gone too far.

In the mean time, my wife, who is a Christian Scientist, had written to her father for treatment for me, and in less than two weeks my throat was better and I have not been troubled with it since. I am in perfect health and have been since that time.—Charles Ritchey, Altoona, Pa.
