During the early months of 1904 I had frequent attacks of violent pain, which lasted some hours, leaving me prostrate for days after. During one of these attacks, which was more severe than usual, my son sent for a physician who had attended us since 1900. He pronounced me to be suffering from stone in the kidney, to which he said I would always be subject unless I had an operation. I, however, decided to try Christian Science. I think I had on the whole about three weeks' treatment in Christian Science and I read Science and Health diligently. I am perfectly healed of this trouble. I have taken no medicine and am in better health than I have been for years.
