Angel Messages
To gain a deeper insight into the wonderful import to mankind of that promise in the 91st Psalm, "He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways," means for us a constant listening to all that God tells us. It also means a loving and consecrated obedience to His bidding.
In every hour of trial the angel-message of divine Love is at hand, if we are alert and thus able to discern its presence. We know not how it will come to us.—perhaps through a Bible verse, a passage from our text-book, an article in our periodicals, a verse in our Hymnal, or a whispered word from the "still, small voice,"—but God will send it—in His way, not ours—and according to our need this message from divine Love, with its charity, its faith, its strength and power, will come and "minister unto" us, as to Jesus in the hour of his temptation and in the garden of Gethsemane. We must cling to the healing and saving truth which thus speaks to us, until the error which has seemed real melts away into nothingness, and harmony prevails. Thus we shall prove again and again, each time with increasing gratitude to God, that "we are made partakers of Christ [the spiritual idea], if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end."
