Through reading a testimony in the Sentinel, I have been...
Through reading a testimony in the Sentinel, I have been awakened to a sense of duty. This is the third attempt I have made to send my testimony, and now, after three years of waiting, I wish to be with those who return to give God praise.
Since early childhood I suffered from a complication of diseases. About three years ago I was suffering from severe chronic troubles which seven doctors whom I consulted could not cure. I had, moreover, astigmatism, and had worn glasses from childhood, and many times I have cried because I could not use my eyes like others.
I am now entirely healed of all that I have mentioned, and would like to give more fully the healing of my eyes. I had been treated about a week in Science, and was then using glasses, but the friend who was treating me said, "The time will come, when you will find that you do not need glasses." I was trying to sew out on the front piazza, on a dark material, when all at once my vision blurred. Thinking the fault lay in the glasses, I cleaned them, but it was still the same. I cleaned them the second time, but I could see no better. I was still looking at my work, wondering what was the trouble, when I took hold of the glasses and lifted them up, and to my amazement my sight was perfect, and I knew I was healed. I can use my eyes now as long as I like, either by night or day.
