I thank God for Christian Science and what it has done...
I thank God for Christian Science and what it has done for me, physically, morally, and spiritually,—it has lifted me out of sickness into health. Three years before learning of this truth, I had doctored for eczema on my hands and feet. The third winter it came in its most aggravated form, and for three weeks I was almost helpless. A friend came to me and said that if I would try Christian Science I could be healed. I said I would be glad to take the treatment, but I did not believe it would do me any good.
She loaned me Science and Health to read, and after a few days' treatment I was so much helped that I knew I was on the highway to health. I continued to read, and so far as I could understand the application of its teaching, tried to act upon it.
In less than eight weeks I was entirely healed. It is a year and five months ago, and I have had no return or symptoms of it. In ten days after the first treatment I was healed of the tobacco habit. I had used tobacco for twenty-five years and had often thought I could not do without it, and it did seem so strange to me just then, as I did not intend to give up this habit, but I soon found that I had lost all taste for it.
