The Lectures
Fifth Church of Christ, Scientist, Chicago, gave its second lecture on Thursday evening, November 5. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Bicknell Young, who spoke earnestly and convincingly of the power of Christian Science to deliver from all that is unlike God. His audience of about fourteen hundred persons, including a large number of those who are not yet identified with the Christian Science movement, listened to the lecture with marked interest and were evidently much impressed by the clear and comprehensive statements made by the speaker. Mr. Young was introduced by Mr. George Shaw Cook, First Reader of Fifth Church.—Correspondence.
Mr. Carol Norton of New York lectured last night [November 5] at the Club Theatre to a fine, intelligent audience. His presentation of the subject was especially able, eloquent, and sincere. The speaker was introduced by Senator Hugh McIndoe, as follows:—
