I feel that it is time for me to give to the world my experiences in Christian Science. An evil had crept into our family which the physicians pronounced inherited consumption. My mother, brother, sister, and other relatives were taken away by it, and the physicians considered it incurable.
When a child, I was examined and sentenced to go the same way; but this was not God's will. He led me to the truth which makes man free, and that is Christian Science. In a few treatments and through growth in the understanding, I was freed from that disease. To-day I cannot thank God enough that He led me into this way, which gives me life and peace, instead of sickness and death.
At the birth of my first chidlren I suffered greatly from the instruments. My last two children were given me with the help of Christian Science. No instruments were needed, and the third day I was free to do my own work. I knew that I was in God's protection. Our first child was in poor health until nine months old. The physicians said that nothing could be done for him. I tried all the different foods, but in vain. From a human standpoint there was no help for our child.
