Tulsa, Oklahoma (Fifth Church).
Fifth Church of Christ, Scientist, Tulsa (Colored), held three identical services of dedication on Sunday, April 22, 1951, in the morning, afternoon, and evening, at which the following historical sketch of the growth of the church was read by the First Reader:
The history of Fifth Church of Christ, Scientist, Tulsa, dates back to 1927, when a few students met in the home of one of the group to read the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly. Later the services were held in two other homes and theme were moved to the quarters of the Young Women's Christian Association, then located in a room in the Wesley Methodist Church, 611 East Easton Street.
