Christian Science came into my life at the time of a great need, and it proved a healing balm. It was the last thing; that I expected to become interested in, but I was so impressed with what it did for a dear one that I asked for help from a Christian Science practitioner, and for thirty years this Science has been my only physician.

Before coming into Science, I was always ill, spending months at a time in sanatoriums trying to get well. I have been healed in Christian Science of sorrow, of a severe, stomach trouble, and of constipation. A broken wrist, which a physician declared would never be straight, was perfectly and quickly healed under the care of a Christian Science practitioner.

Through experiencing many wonderful demonstrations of the healing truth, I have found that when divine Principle is understood and faithfully applied, harmony has always been restored. I find that as I prayerfully watch my thoughts and strive to make them more God-like, I am increasingly able to see man as the perfect idea of God's creating. Mary Baker Eddy tells us in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 185): "Self-renunciation of all that constitutes a so-called material man and the acknowledgment and achievement of his spiritual identity as the child of God, is Science that opens the very flood-gates of heaven; whence good flows into every avenue of being, cleansing mortals of all uncleanness, destroying all suffering, and demonstrating the true image and likeness. There is no other way under heaven whereby we can be saved, and man be clothed with might, majesty, and immortality."
