The truth of being as taught in...
The truth of being as taught in Christian Science has been a rod and staff to me for over fifteen years. I have seen many claims of problematic mortal mind yield to the omnipotence of the truth which is learned through the study of the Bible and the writings of the revered Leader of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy. I have had many healings, including those of colds and influenza, and an instantaneous one of a badly turned ankle. I have also been healed of grief, and on one occasion was protected from harm in an automobile accident.
I should like to tell of the healing of a member of my family of a throat infection. This one, while not a student of Christian Science, requested the help of a practitioner. The condition, which persisted, seemed to grow worse at the end of three days and caused the patient a great sense of fear. However, excerpts from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy were read, the practitioner was called, and the patient went to sleep within a very short time, only to bound out of bed about three hours later exclaiming that the malady had gone, as indeed it had. The healing was absolutely complete, all soreness and inflammation having vanished.
I have also witnessed the healing in two days of an injury which a physician declared was a broken wrist. The overcoming of dissatisfaction with my position in the business world has proved a blessing. For all the good that has come into my experience and that of those near to me through the study of the sacred Word, I am very grateful.
