"Are Sin, Disease, and Death Real?"

"Are Sin, Disease, and Death Real?" I cannot let the date of another Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly on this subject pass without expressing gratitude to the whole world for Christian Science.

At the time we found this Science, we were heavily in debt to six specialists, a dentist, a chiropractor, and an osteopath.

One Saturday afternoon I was in tears because it seemed as if I were at my rope's end. There was one more specialist left who we thought might help, and my husband was planning to come home on Monday in time to take me to see him. The Saturday afternoon paper was lying across the arm of the chair in which I was sitting, and as I glanced down, the words from a church notice stood out to me, "Are Sin, Disease, and Death Real?" I told my husband I should like to attend that church service, and that if he wished, he could go with me. He asked where the sermon was to be preached, and I read from the paper, "First Church of Christ, Scientist." I knew nothing of Christian Science until then. Only a Christian Scientist can know the joy I experienced as I walked into that church, and from that day to this, Christian Science has been my only physician. The many complications from which I was suffering have faded out one by one.
