Among the Churches

Current Notes

Winslow, Arizona (Society).—Morning and evening services were held in the church building of Christian Science Society, Winslow, on Sunday, November 2, 1941, when the edifice was formally dedicated.

The First Reader read a dedicatory announcement, which follows (in part): "In October, 1923, Christian Science Society of Winslow was officially recognized as a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1930 the present building site was purchased. In June, 1938, the church building was started, and it was completed in August of the same year. The first service was held August 21, 1938."

A dedication service in a Christian Science church signifies that the structure is free of all edness.—Winslow Mail.
