I am very grateful to Christian Science for bringing me to God. Although I had been brought up in an orthodox church, I had drifted away from it, and for many years did not attend church services, spending Sundays in working or seeking amusement.

In 1933, while my wife and I were in Boston, Massachusetts, we visited The Mother Church, as one of the many places of interest to be seen in that city. I was so impressed that I wanted to go again, and did so several times before leaving to take a boat from New York to San Francisco.

Noting my interest in The Mother Church, my wife, who then was not interested in Christian Science, bought me a Bible and a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
