A false appetite was completely overcome for me in one Christian Science treatment. A severely sprained ankle was healed in two treatments, all pain and discoloration disappearing within that time. Through Christian Science treatment also, divine Love met my need in childbirth.

Having had such convincing proof of the healing power of Christian Science, I recommended to another member of my family that he have treatment to overcome unemployment. He had been unemployed for about two years, and our bank account was very low. From a human standpoint he had done everything he could to solve the problem, but without success. Very reluctantly he consented to have Christian Science treatment. After the third treatment he requested that we study the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly together daily. After a few more treatments there was no apparent change, and we worked very earnestly to keep discouragement out of our consciousness. One morning, on awakening, we decided to relax and keep our thoughts close to God throughout the day. The result was a sense of peace and contentment. The following morning a letter was received asking for an interview. An appointment was made, and within one week this member of my family was happily at work, in a good position with a reliable company.

Divine Love operates quietly and unseen, but the power of Love is felt in mental and physical betterment. How grateful we are that we have the loving practitioners to call upon! When our own mental atmosphere seems beclouded, their work helps us to overcome any belief of doubt or anxiety. I am grateful for our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, author of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Through this textbook the spiritual meaning of the Bible has been unfolded to me, and many of its passages have been made practical for daily use. I am indeed grateful for Christian Science and what it is doing for all mankind.
