Students
of Christian Science are clearly admonished by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discover and Founder of this Science, to avoid altogether the use of tobacco and strong drink.
The closing date for the receipt of applications for membership in The Mother Church is now approximately one month in advance of the date of the admission instead of two weeks as heretofore.
I give my experience with a heart full of love and gratitude to God, to our dearly beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and to a loving teacher and kind and patient practitioner who have helped me many times to understand and obey the law of God, the religion of divine Love—Christian Science.
Such is my gratitude for release from the bondage of self-will that I should like to relate something which occurred more than ten years ago, in the hope that others similarly situated may be helped by the telling.
The benefits which I have received from the study and application of Christian Science have been numerous, but this is the first time that I have availed myself of the opportunity to express my gratitude in the form of a written testimony.
