My attention has been called to the "Daily Thought," sent in by "Bill," which appeared in a recent issue, "Flowers are the hieroglyphics of God." This quotation no doubt has its orgin in a statement by Mary Baker Eddy in her principal work, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." It reads (p. 240), "The floral apostles are hieroglyphs of Deity." Since I do not find a similar quotation in those listed by other authors, I feel sure it is derived from Mrs. Eddy's words. She was a great lover of flowers and oftern referred to them in her published writings.

I am sure the Christian Scientists among your readers will be interested in knowing the full quotation.
