It is with deep and sincere gratitude to God, to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, to the loving students who write for our periodicals, and to the practitioners who have so patiently and willingly helped me, that I desire to give this testimony.

I took up the study of Christian Science with the thought of learning something of the truth about God. Before this time I had viewed religion with derision. However, the loving-kindness expressed by friends and acquaintances whom I knew to be Christian Scientists, together with a need of physical healing, inspired me to turn to it for help.

My study resulted in the healing of hernia in a very short time. Later, four children were born to me, although the doctor had formerly told me that an operation would be necessary before I could become a mother. During the children's years of infancy and childhood many beautiful demonstrations were made for them, which included protection from drowning, the overcoming of the effects of accidents, healings of almost every kind of so-called children's disease, and, later, the moral transformation of the eldest son, when it seemed he had been led astray. And in my own experience there have been healings of many physical disturbances, including tonsillitis, spinal trouble, erroneous conditions at time of childbirth, suffering supposed to attend change of life, and more recently sick headaches, which I had had off and on for years. These conditions were all beautifully healed through earnest study and appreciation of Christian Science, some instantaneously, others through patient, persistent study, and it has made me a more loving and patient individual in every way.
