In a recent issue, a laywoman takes exception to the right of people to interpret the Bible, and says that it is because of personal interpretation that Christian Science and other modernisms have arisen.

The writer will agree that Christ Jesus interpreted the Scriptures; and all Christian churches claim to follow his interpretation and teachings. Jesus warned his students against the traditions of the elders, and said, on one occasion, the true worshipers shall "worship the Father in spirit and in truth." I should say the church which approximates most nearly the teachings and works of Jesus is the one which is interpreting the Bible correctly. Perhaps this is the reason why Christian Science is attracting world-wide attention, because it is proving true the words of Jesus.

He said, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also;" and, "By their fruits ye shall know them."
