From the letter of your correspondent in a recent issue, it is evident that he has little knowledge of the activities of the Church of Christ, Scientist; little understanding of the teachings of Christian Science, and no comprehension of the life and work of Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.

Your correspondent states that Mrs. Eddy had nothing to say about the gospel, yet it is through her writings that Christian Scientists all over the world have come so to understand the spiritusl meaning of the Scriptures that they have been able to heal the sick and reform the sinner. No body of people read and study the Bible more earnestly than do Christian Scientists, and the way in which the sick are healed in Christian Science is through the power of God, and in no other way.
