Important Membership Items

With a desire to clarify the procedure to be followed by those desiring to unite with The Mother Church, as well as to answer questions most frequently asked concerning membership, the circular of Instruction to Applicants, Approvers, and Countersigners has been revised and simplified. However, owing to present world conditions, the English circular only has been revised.

The new circular, based on the requirements of the Manual of The Mother Church, sets forth the procedure necessary to prepare applications correctly. Details are arranged topically for the purpose of quick reference. Members who approve and countersign applications will find that particular information under a separate heading.

In January, 1940, copies of the new circular, together with applications for membership in The Mother Church, will be mailed to Clerks of branch organizations, Reading Rooms, practitioners, and nurses. The number sent to each will be small, but additional copies may be obtained by writing to the Clerk of The Mother Church.
