In a recent issue, a statement was made that "Christian Scientists also have their Bible, the works of Mary Baker Eddy, extracts from which are engraved on the walls of some of their churches." I would thank you for space for correcting this erroneous statement.

The English Bible used by Christian Scientists in their church services is the King James Version. The textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, is not regarded or used by Christian Scientists as a Bible, but is, as its name implies, a "key" to the Scriptures.

The writings of Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, are read and studied that "the inspired Word of the Bible" (Science and Health, p. 497) may be spiritually understood and be of practical help in the solution of the affairs of everyday life. To Christian Scientists the Bible has become a most valued possession.

Christian Science branch churches usually have inscribed on their walls a quotation from the Bible and one quotation from the Christian Science textbook.
