I am deeply grateful to the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, who has given us the truth as taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus, which has proved such a blessing to all mankind.

Gratitude impels me to relate a recent outstanding healing of a broken hip. I was taken to the hospital, where I was told that the hip could not be set on account of my age, and that I could not recover. A Christian Science practitioner was asked to take up my case, and she lovingly helped me all through this trying time. The surgeons at the hospital were then asked to proceed with the setting of my hip, which they did.

The time allotted at the hospital for me to remain in the plaster cast was three months, but the healing took place several weeks before that time. When I was released from the cast, I made rapid progress, much to the amazement of all. Through those dark days, I felt that divine Love was all around me, and was greatly helped by the passage from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 567), "To infinite, ever-present Love, all is Love, and there is no error, no sin, sickness, nor death." These words from Isaiah were also a great comfort to me: "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
