For over twenty-five years it has been my great privilege to experience the blessed healing and comforting power of Christian Science.
Among many blessings stands out the healing of hay fever. Every spring this ailment would return and spoil the joy that I should have had in observing this unfolding season.
Soon after becoming a member of a Christian Science Society, and of The Mother Church in Boston, I was called upon to serve as Second Reader. This was in January. In the spring the dreaded attacks suddenly came with great severity, and I was faced with the fear that reading on Sundays would be an utter impossibility. My wife urged me not to give in to the false argument that anything could keep me from fulfilling this high duty, and almost to my amazement I found that each Sunday morning I was entirely free. This showed me that each day is the Lord's day, and that all our work is His work. This realization became so strong that I was completely healed of hay fever, much to the surprise of my relatives and friends. For the gaining of this freedom I am deeply grateful.
