Unto the Light

Because Thou hast made the rays of Truth to shine
Into my darkened thought,
I shall arise with every battle fought,
Unto the light—
Into the freedom of Thy truth divine.

Though of Thy glory faintly now I see,
Yet do I hope all things.
Upward my struggling sense shall lift its wings
Unto the light—
Into the boundlessness of Life most free.

Because in Thy dear care all discords cease,
Sorrow and tears are gone.
So do I trust Thee gently leading on
Unto the light—
Into the fullness of Thy love and peace.
