Among the Churches

Current Notes

Milton and Freewater, Oregon (Society).—The Sunday morning service of Christian Science Society of Milton-Freewater, November 14, 1937, included the dedication of the new church home, which was remodeled in 1934. A Christian Science church may not be dedicated until it is free from debt, so Sunday was a day of great importance to the society members.—Freewater Times.

Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire, England (First Church).—An event which is attracting widespread general interest is the opening of the new Christian Science church at Maney Corner, Birmingham Road, Sutton Coldfield, England. The first service was held in the new building on Wednesday evening, March 23, 1938.

Christian Science services were commenced in Sutton in May, 1927, and have been held, until the present time, in the Co-operative Hall. The movement steadily gained strength, and the necessity for a permanent and more spacious edifice was soon apparent.
