Gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me...

Gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me prompts me to write this testimony, in the hope that it may help and encourage others who are suffering from the same problem—lack of harmony in one's place of business.

Through the loving help and clear thought of a practitioner, harmony was almost instantly restored. A fellow worker, who seemed to be the cause of the great inharmony and discord, left the firm for better and more suitable work. The harmonious and calm way in which this most discordant condition was met and overcome will ever be the cause of the greatest gratitude on my part. A raise in salary, a happy and welcome surprise, came about at the same time. Surely we owe the greatest love and gratitude to these dear practitioners who help us through the darkest moments, giving us hope and encouragement to carry on.

I was also healed of a severe nervous trouble, which I can now look back upon as only a hideous mortal dream. This healing was slow. Through those dark days and months, when at times every hope seemed gone, this passage from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 393) alwayscame to my rescue: "Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good. God has made man capable of this, and nothing can vitiate the ability and power divinely bestowed on man." I am grateful to God for all blessings.
