The Pure in Heart

The seeing eye and hearing ear
Belong to those who learn to love
The joys of sweet simplicity,
Whose perfect peace is from above.
The truly understanding heart,
Though cleaving firmly to the right,
Beats high with loving sympathy
For those who need its beacon light.
How blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see the love of God,
And with divine humility
Will keep to paths the Master trod.
