It is my sincere desire to express my gratitude for Christian Science...
It is my sincere desire to express my gratitude for Christian Science and for the many blessings I have received therefrom. When I first took up its study I was both mentally and physically ill. I called on a practitioner, and I shall never forget the love she expressed and the assurance she gave that I could be freed from the error that was trying to hold me in bondage. She said that I was God's perfect child, His image and likeness, and that I had nothing to fear. I at once began to study the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly.
Each day I am gaining more understanding of this wonderful truth and a better spiritual understanding of the Bible, for which I am most grateful. I have been healed of chronic constipation, periodic cramps, and a very bad case of sinus trouble through reading the Bible and Science and Health. I want to express my gratitude for a very harmonious childbirth. This was a wonderful demonstration to me, for it was my first child, and many people voiced the fear that my age would complicate matters; but I knew that God was my protector, and that I was in His care; so I had no fear whatever. I enjoyed good health, was very happy, and did my usual duties during this period. The doctor and nurses said that it was a very remarkable case, and they could not understand it.
All that I have I owe to Christian Science, for which I shall never cease to be grateful. I am also grateful to God, and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy; for the loving practitioners, the Christian Science literature, and the Publishing Society; and for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church.
