Among the Churches

Current Notes

West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (Society).—On Sunday, December 30, 1934, special services were held at Christian Science Society.

This was a happy occasion for the Christian Scientists of West Vancouver, as they dedicated their church building free of debt to the worship of God, as taught in Christian Science.

In July, 1925, a small group of Christian Scientists met together to discuss the possibility of holding services in West Vancouver. A Christian Science Society was organized and services begun in Dundarave Hall in October of the same year. Later it was agreed to build a church, and the present site was purchased in November, 1926. Building operations were commenced, and the cornerstone was laid on March 7, 1927. The building was completed and opening services held on June 5, 1927. Now the membership, which has grown considerably since the early days, is humbly grateful to have reached the point of dedication.—West Vancouver News.
