East Brady Review
Your issue of November 10 contains a clergyman's article which names Christian Science among so-called "false cults" which ignore "the fact of sin."
It is quite apparent that the reverend critic is not yet aware that Christian Science is the most important spiritual teaching in the world today, in that it not only heals the sick in conformity with the teaching of Christ Jesus, but also regenerates the sinner.
Christian Science does not ignore the negative claim of sin, any more than a mathematician ignores mistakes discovered in his calculations. But a mistake in mathematics is no more a positive fact than is sin a spiritual fact. Christian Science has proved many times in the experience of those who understand the Bible teaching that God never created evil, and that it has no more existence than erroneous human belief gives it. Hence the verity of the Bible statement, "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God."
